Call of Juarez is both a first-person shooter and a stealth game. You plays some levels as Reverend Ray - a brilliant, creepily charismatic character, a former bandit who has become a priest but is still ready to use his guns - and others as young Billy, who is always sneaking around his enemies and trying to avoid being seen.I loved the FPS with Reverend Ray; it's gripping and really a lot of fun, with nice ideas like the concentration mode, the peculiar two guns mode and the duels. The levels with Billy, frankly, bored me to tears, and honestly I played them with a total lack of enthusiasm, just to get the next entertaining Reverend Ray part. I suppose that for a fan of "stealth" games who hates FPS the problem could be the opposite.Technically, the game may not be a masterpiece but it does its job; graphics and sound are solid. So, Call of Juarez offers two games in one, which could be both a strength and a weakness. For me it was (partly) a weakness, because I found half of the game rather dull (while the other half was fantastic). If you, on the other hand, enjoy *both* genres, then add a couple of points to my final rating - you're likely to love it.6.5/10
