Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! (TV Series 2007– ) Poster

Trivia

The "Abso-lutely" bit at the end of every episode is vacation footage of Tim Heidecker's father summing up his vacation in two words.
John C. Reilly created the character of Dr. Steve Brule. He brought his own wardrobe. The reading glasses were a pair that he bought at Rite Aid. "Brule" is a word that Reilly and his friends had created to refer to the feeling in one's stomach when drinking too much alcohol.
When Richard Dunn auditioned for the role of Tim's Dad, he was cast before he entered the building. Tim and Eric spotted him arriving in the parking lot and immediately cast him.
In the green-screen segments, Eric can sometimes been seen with his legs in awkward positions. This is because that studio has a low ceiling and Eric is 6 feet, 6 inches tall so he often has to crouch to avoid hitting his head. He also has to sometimes put his head in awkward positions to avoid the studio lights' glare in his eyeglasses.

The title of the show is a mixture of ideas. Bob Odenkirk suggested to have "Tim and Eric" in the title, Eric Wareheim suggested the name "Awesome Show", and Tim Heidecker suggested the name "Great Job". The comma (,) and the exclamation point were added then for comedic effect.
