- I've been a huge David Gordon Green ever since I was introduced to his introductory film George Washington and 08' is going to be a treat for Dgg fans alike. Snow Angels (already one of my favorites for 2008 which received its only premiere at Sundnace in 07) is getting a March release but thanks to Joblo, we've got something to make the August 8th date wait for his second 08 film a little more bearable. Note: Judd Apatow's Superbad received a similar re;ease date earlier this year. To few the 4-minute clip of Columbia Pictures' The Pineapple Express below. Scripted by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, on their way to becoming self-actualized adults, a duo of delinquent dudes find themselves stymied by unfortunate habits. - Amber Heard & Chris Issak have joined the cast of The Informers, an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel, for director Gregor Jordan (Buffalo Soldiers, Ned Kelly). Issak & Heard join an impressive ensemble cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke. The Informers takes place over a week in 1980's Los Angeles, and centers on the antics of a variety of morally bankrupt characters, including movie executives, rock stars and a vampire. Heard plays a promiscuous young woman caught up in the decadence of L.A in the eighties, while Issak plays a sex obsessed father on vacation with his young son in Hawaii.2008 is shaping up to be a big year for Heard, who's also got a role in The Pineapple Express for super producer Judd Apatow and helmer David Gordon Green. She also appears in the upcoming horror film All »

- Is David Gordon Green going Hollywood? Not exactly, but the projects are getting a whole lot bigger and perhaps more indie-mainstream than George Washington and All the Real Girls. After picking up the excellent Snow Angels in multiple territories, THR announced that Warner Independent Pictures is looking to have the director write and direct a screen adaptation of John Grisham's The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town. The book is based on a true story. Set up by George Clooney and Grant Heslov's production company Smoke House, The Innocent Man tells the true story of a gross miscarriage of justice that sent Ron Williamson to Oklahoma's death row for 11 years for a murder he did not commit. Among the flimsy evidence: eyewitness testimony from the man ultimately convicted of the murder. Workaholic Dgg is currently filming Columbia Pictures’ The Pineapple Express in Los Angeles. »
