Storyline

William Dane (Astin) is a down-on-his-luck hospice worker who loses his job. With his sick mother (Duke) under his care and no source of income, he finds a job with an eccentric and once-prominent author. The author, Tander Welch (Pryor), is very sick and asks William to do a job that seems outside of his moral boundaries but first he must travel across the country and inform his now estranged daughters of Tander's condition.
