Bang-up episode
13 February 2012 | by (The Last New Jersey Drive-In on the Left) – See all my reviews

The Tulip receives a cryptic message from Percy (Tanya Allen in fine spunky form) that leads Dante (Michael Pare, excellent as usual) to the special seeds that are concealed in her quarters. Moreover, Dante is reunited with his son Travis (well played by David Fournier), who reveals his mother Penny's role in early experiments with The Divinity Cluster. This episode unfolds at a breakneck pace and generates plenty of tension as it neatly explores the show's trademark themes of loyalty and betrayal. Moreover, we get a fascinating glimpse at the Raiders and their no-nonsense militaristic culture. Dante's desire to get both Percy and Travis back gives the gripping story extra dramatic impact and poignancy. In addition, there's sterling acting from Heather Belle-Matmor as the regretful Penny, Caroline Hayes as formidable Raider woman Salomea, and James Gaddas as hard-nosed Raider leader Senaca. And the scene where Dante is finally reunited with his son is genuinely touching.
