Excellent and intriguing episode
23 January 2012 | by (The Last New Jersey Drive-In on the Left) – See all my reviews

Dante (Michael Pare, excellent as usual), Lucretia (fine work from Claudette Roche), and Percy (a delightfully spunky portrayal by Tanya Allen) find themselves caught in separate Bubble Universes as a result of a graviton experiment on a Triton research station that's gone haywire. Each one of them has to outwit different, but still equally dangerous versions of Five (a chilling and amusing performance by Howard Antony), an insane and cunning serial killer who's a prisoner on board the Tulip. The compelling premise provides plenty of nicely spooky atmosphere and a considerable amount of nerve-wracking tension. Director Patrick Malakian makes inspired use of the numerous dimly lit corridors on the Tulip. Moreover, Five makes for a genuinely creepy, lively, and entertaining psycho who adds plenty of dark humor to the absorbing proceedings and greatly enhances the overall suspense; it's a real treat to watch everyone figure out ways to outsmart this wacko. One of this show's strongest and most imaginative hours.
