Walled-up Wobbly
ShadeGrenade24 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
If Roy Clarke had written 'Bouquet Of Barbed Wire', would it have been called 'Bucket Of Barbed Wire'? Unrelated tangent!

Geyser has added bricklaying to his repertoire of jobs he is not terribly good at. His first wall collapses when a dog urinates on it. A Mr.Bell ( Philip Madoc ) arrives at the building site where Joe Jones Ltd. is currently based, asking to see 'Ronald Seamus O'Hare' a.k.a. Wobbly. Terrified he might be from the Island Revenue ( he hasn't paid taxes since 1952 ), Wobbly decides to go into hiding. He gets Geyser to wall him in...

That fine Welsh actor Philip Madoc appeared in lots of sitcoms down the years, most notably in 'Dad's Army' ( 'The Deadly Attachment' ) in which he played the U-boat commander. This 'Cowboys' episode is certainly not on a par with that. By this stage they were starting to run out of ideas and it shows.

Funniest moment - Joe, Wobbly ( still encased in bricks ) and Geyser all playing Monopoly. Despite his predicament, the Irishman manages to win!
