In the New York political arena, be careful what you wish for....

This timely and scandalous suspense/thriller, winner of two Best Feature Film awards, takes place in a world of ambition and powerful politicians. Andy Hernandes (Shashi Balooja), an ambitious NYC Assistant District Attorney with political aspirations is recently engaged to Ann Kim (Michelle Glick), the latest partner in a profitable risk management firm. As a favor to the wealthy Senator Barksdale (Tom Wiggin), Andy hires his son Michael Barksdale (Josh Heine), as an intern. Michael is a brilliant-but-troubled law student who takes advantage of his privileged life to help his new mentor. As Andy is drawn into an elite circle of people willing to help fulfill his dreams, Ann finds herself confronted with unexpected circumstances even she can't control.
Suddenly they are both caught up in a whirlwind of vulnerable situations involving a classmate (Gregory Wooddell) from Ann's past, a young Mobster (Will Janowitz of HBO's "The Sopranos") and a mix of other peculiar characters ultimately resulting in a series of indiscretions, blackmail, murder, and moral dilemmas.

Very tightly executed thriller, 16 April 2013
Author: mdharmeyer from Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Had this recommended to me from a friend. Watched it last night on Amazon VOD and enjoyed it very much. A very dark, exciting and unpredictable story. I also really liked the acting, the actors all did an amazing job. The writing is very good too, and I feel like they did a really good job of avoiding tired old thriller cliché's and character tropes. This one really kept me guessing!

If you are into more dark thrillers with a bit of an indie edge I would really recommend this film. To be honest, I was getting a little tired of the genre and only took a viewing of it based on a recommendation from a friend and I can't say I am disappointed at all. Check this film out if you can, it's worth it.
