Cris Abrego, Charlie Corwin Appointed Co-CEOs of Endemol North America

7 October 2013 10:02 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Endemol North America has found fresh leadership from within its own stables, appointing Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin co-chairmen and co-CEOs of the studio.

News follows the December announcement that Endemol North America topper David Goldberg was stepping down from his chairman-ceo post after thirteen years with the company.

“Charlie and Cris are world class creative entrepreneurs who have built their respective companies through the creation and production of great, must-watch content during their time within Endemol,” said Endemol Group prez Tim Hincks. “They combine energy, ambition and vision with an understanding of the values that define Endemol. We couldn’t ask for stronger candidates to lead our North American operations into a new phase of accelerated growth and creativity.”

Abrego and Corwin have been thriving members of the Endemol family, as their reality production companies — Abrego’s 51 Minds and Corwin’s Original Media — were both acquired by Endemol roughly six years ago. »
