Because of Earl's gambling problem from the previous episode, Cataline has been exposed as an illegal alien and deported to her homeland. Earl and Randy plan to go there to get her back to Camden and to give Randy an opportunity to woo her and tell her he loves her. However, Earl's fear of flying throws a spanner into the works. Meanwhile, Joy is on pills that control her anger and make her an extraordinarily happy person who doesn't get angry no matter what happens. Which annoys Darnell because the neighbors are getting louder, closer and more and more obnoxious. Written by Marco van Hoof <>

Did You Know?

The scene where Catalina sees two gangsters (who look like Earl and Randy) tying up an old woman to a chair to make her smoke until she dies is very much reminiscent of a scene in the second episode "Quit Smoking", where Earl ties up Donny's mother to make her quit smoking. Even the dialogue follows the same pattern, with Catalina asking what the gangsters are doing, commenting on why they kidnapped the woman and telling how many kidnappings she has seen in her life. [to the stewardess]
Earl Hickey: Um, excuse me, ma'm. You just said my seat may be used as a flotation device. Is that maybe as in "can be" or maybe like, "maybe yours will or maybe yours won't", 'cause I didn't ask for a floating seat, I would have but that wasn't one of the choices.

User Reviews

Best Episode ever.
10 December 2007 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

My Name is Earl is the 10th episode in the second season of My Name is Earl. This episode is a continuation of the last one where Earl gets Catalina deported. This episode is definitely the best as Earl and Randy really team up even more in this like the show scene at the airport or passport picture thing. I think that the three parts of this show should have been put together into a movie because it would be awesome just to say I have seen the My Name is Earl movie. Overall if you have not seen these episodes yet you should run out now and get Season 2 disk 2 right now. I rate this movie 99% which is the highest I have ever given kept me crying all the way along.
