Does anybody remember laughter?

Another odd couple episode,this time Bart and Nelson(guess what,Nelson hasn't been funny in ten seasons or so)become best friends after Bart is the only one showing up at his birthday party.As a side plot(well,at least they bothered to have one this time)Homer starts reading a Harry Potter-like novel.There was one good moment in there somewhere,namely Homer describing his perfect life but it was hidden pretty damn well in a pile of WTF moments.The writers have gotten lazy to the point that they don't bother to read what they're writing anymore.Granted,lame in-jokes are absent,but that's only because they couldn't come up with any.I like to think that all the usable material was taken out to be put in in the movie.It helps me sleep at night.
