The year is 1977. The New York Yankees are coming off their loss to the Cincinatti Reds in the 1976 world series. The Yankees' manager Billy Martin and the owner, George Steinbrenner are discussing on who should be on the team for next season. During the inaugural season of the free agent market, Steinbrenner was talking to Oakland Athletics star, Reggie Jackson about joining the Yankees. He accepted. Then, spring training began. Billy Martin at one time did not want to ride the bus with the rest of the team, which escalated into an argument between him and Steinbrenner.
