As Summer tries to return to the celebrity-loving-gossip girl she once was, she realizes that making the trip to Brown may have changed her forever. Fortunately, Seth continues to be supportive of the new Summer through all her endeavors. Similarly, Ryan empathizes with Taylor and surprisingly helps her out of her bind when her French husband's lawyer arrives wanting Taylor to sign annulments papers. Meanwhile, Julie and Kaitlin both make attempts to stay out of trouble, but both bad girls cannot resist the temptation to add a little spice to their lives with their flirtations. The Metamorphosis (#4.4)
28 September 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Summer goes to a therapist. And is ready to go back to her old self, or so she thinks. When Seth comes for a visit it turns out that Summer indeed cares more about the environment than about celebrity gossip now. So she goes back to activism while Seth supports it. Ryan helps Taylor to get her divorce. Sandy finds a new male friend and Julie goes to party.

After three very disappointing episodes they finally come up with a very good one. I am very impressed that they kept "new Summer" as people indeed change. And I love the new Summer who cares about the world way more than the shallow one who just cared about celebrity gossip and shopping.
