The UN association weekend continues... Claire hasn't turned up for the afternoon session because she's out with Guy who's from a public school. In a discussion about trade, Glenroy gets carried away on his rant about poverty, and prematurely ends Grange Hill's chance to talk. Suzanne is furious with Glenroy, as he storms off, and tempers fray further when he comes across John Eastlake's ignorant discourse on civilized societies. Glenroy's about to pack his bags and go, but is persuaded to stay. At the dinner dance, Claire waits for Guy, and Stewpot waits for Trudy - and then they find that their respective partners are an item. Fed-up Claire dances with upper-class twit John Eastlake, then runs off to her bedroom. Stewpot goes to find her, and persuades her to come back to the dance. The following morning, a faked letter tells Eastlake to rendezvous with Claire by the lake. A loud splash later, and it's a very wet and bedraggled Eastlake who makes his way back to the car...
