Storyline

Hank has an idea to increase tourism to Dog River which causes consequences nobody could have foreseen. Oscar also has an idea but is afraid to bring it forward for fear of being labeled a crazy old man. The new found popularity of Dog River causes a business boom at Corner Gas and the Ruby as well as Wanda getting a weekly guest spot on popular Canadian news program. Davis tries to work as Fitzy's personal body guard during the transition while Karen thinks loyal, honest police work is best. Written by Prairie Pants Productions IV

Quotes

[first lines]
Lacey Burrows: What's this mayor challenge?
Brent LeRoy: Fitzy's looking for ways to put Dog River on the map.
Wanda Dollard: Yeah. Whenever election time rolls around, he starts to pretend he cares.
Hank Yarbo: How can you guys be so cyclical?
Wanda Dollard: That's cynical.
Lacey Burrows: Maybe he meant we talk in circles. We do that sometimes.
Hank Yarbo: Yeah, Wanda. If you weren't so cyclical, you'd know that.

Season Four
19 April 2008 | by See all my reviews

Season Four of Corner Gas was a drop in quality from seasons 2 and 3, and is around as good as season one, which is certainly very good. Although there are no real true standouts in these episodes, there aren't any bad episodes either and most of it is quite amusing and entertaining.

The cast and crew continue to perform excellently in comparison to practically everything else on Canadian TV. I also really liked the finale "Gopher It", which a lot of people were angry at thanks to CTV's annoying false advertising using a daydream sequence as promotion and passing it off as the actual events, but it's a great episode in itself.

Season average based on all episodes: 7.42/10

Ranking up to season 4:

1. Season 3: 8.16/10

2. Season 2: 7.78/10

3. Season 4: 7.42/10

4. Season 1: 7.40/10
