Own the rights?
This is typical. A series is successful in another country, Italy in this case, so what does SAT 1 do - It buys the rights and produces a completely insignificant bit of rubbish. The people at SAT1 should know better, but still they insist to copy the original with an inadequate set of actors, bad factual errors and effects that are ineffective where they should be stylish and ridiculous where they are meant to be dramatic. The viewing numbers are less than satisfactory but still it is kept alive as it is the project of Assistant manageress Alicia Remirez and the new head of the fiction/serial department Kossack who wave the difference between the German and Italian audience away as unimportant. This is a perfect example for a poor piece of work, that fails to stand on the (admittedley) great photography alone.
