But here’s what’s not on Kelley’s docket: Anything in broadcast, where he once upon a time he was king.

“I don’t see a reason to, at this point,” Kelley told IndieWire. “If broadcast TV evolves and really cares about product more than exalting ratings over product, I might. If they got rid of commercials, I might. It’s just hard to succeed with good,

But don't going looking for the lovebirds because, Vergara said, their nuptials are taking place "very far away [in a] very secret place where nobody is going to find us." Oh? 'Bachelorette' Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson engaged

  • Pop2it
News broke back in November that former "Bachelorette" Emily Maynard had started seeing Tyler Johnson, a Charlotte-based philanthropist who works for the Automotive Development Group. Now the two are announcing their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Maynard confirms to Us Weekly, "We're really excited! He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings. It was so sweet! Ricki loves him more than she likes me."

The rings in question were two five diamond-studded bands, one for Emily and one for her daughter, Ricki, with Maynard cracking, "I've had enough engagement rings!"

In case you forgot, Maynard has been engaged three times prior to this, to her high school sweetheart, the late Ricky Hendrick, and then Brad Womack on "The Bachelor" and Jef Holm on "The Bachelorette."

Apparently Emily and Tyler met before she went on "The Bachelorette," but did not start dating until after she had split from Holm.

TV Review: CBS Misses Comedy Mark with ‘The Crazy Ones,’ ‘The Millers’

Chicago – There are very few recurring weak points in the CBS lineup. They’ve been dominating total viewers for years with mega-hits like “NCIS” and “The Big Bang Theory.” But there is one thing they haven’t been able to figure out — something to partner with “Tbbt.”

After failing miserably with shows like “Rob!” and “How to Be a Gentleman,” they gave up and just moved “Two and a Half Men” to Thursday nights. That worked and so now they’re trying to expand the empire by pulling the night’s big hits apart and launching two programs in between. Neither are good and one is horrible. Ah well. Maybe they can move “2 Broke Girls” to Thursdays too.

The Millers

The Millers

Television Rating: 2.5/5.0

The better of the two new CBS programs this evening has also been one of the most reviled in new season previews. Meh.

Who should play Wonder Woman?

Who should play Wonder Woman?
If it’s not the hottest female role for next fall, it’s certainly among the top 5: NBC and Warner Bros. are currently on the lookout for an actress who’s popular, tough, gorgeous and sympathetic enough to play the classic comic book character in the network’s much-anticipated reboot. Easy, peasey: One on every corner of Hollywood, right?

Not exactly.

ABC didn’t make it any easier by locking up three 20-something beauties for its redo of Charlie’s Angels – another project that demands leads that are both likable and strong enough to carry such an important franchise.

Harry’s Law TV Review

Harry's Law, which according to the website apparently now has the tagline, "Go ahead. Make her case," premiered Monday on NBC, and it's been tough trying to follow the ratings banter that has followed. Did it make a strong showing as far as the ratings are concerned? It seems to depend on who you ask at any given moment. The numbers themselves aren't in dispute, but there is some disagreement as to what they mean.

Whether the ratings are "good" (because it's a January premiere, etc.), or "bad" (because it has Kathy Bates and David E. Kelley for crying out loud, etc.), doesn't mean a lot to me, though I find the argument interesting. The new legal dramedy, which also features Kathy Bates holding up a .44 Magnum on the website, after the big "reveal" of the pilot episode, ought to be the most discussed new show in years, because it is incomprehensibly,

ABC Planning Party Planning Comedy

ABC is developing Plan This, a comedy project loosely based on the life of Beverly Hills-based party planner to the stars Mindy Weiss. The single-camera project, from ABC Studios, will be written by Freaky Friday writer Heather Hach who will serve as co-executive producer. Anonymous Content's Alex Goldstone and Elana Barry will executive produce the comedy, which has received a script commitment. Weiss has planned weddings and parties for such clients as Ellen Degeneres & Portia Rossi, Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz; Eva Longoria & Tony Parker; Heidi Klum & Seal; Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale; Jackie & Adam Sandler; Kate Beckinsale & Len Weisman; and Trista & Ryan of ABC's The Bachelorette televised wedding. Party planning is an area the networks have been trying to crack for some time with little success. The more notable efforts include the Fox/David E. Kelley series The Wedding Bells.

New Fall TV Shows 2010 – What is Coming and What to Expect (Part I)

Now that September is here the networks are in the final sprint for the new 2010-2011 season. If you watch TV you probably will have seen many of these shows advertised. The new season lineup includes inevitable staples (classic cop and legal dramas) and more peculiar blends (The Shield’s Michael Chiklis in a family series playing a dad with superpowers, for example); some legendary names (Jj Abrams, Shawn Ryan, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg) and many fresh faces. A few shows like The Event (NBC), Running Wilde (Fox), Broadwalk Empire (HBO) or The Walking Dead (AMC) have already created buzz. For now, however, all of them are pure potential, waiting for their chance to conquer primetime. But despite any hopes or expectations, the only thing certain is that, among all of these promising shows, very few will make it to the second season mark.

ABC has a clear, light and family-oriented style – young professionals,

Michael Landes inks 20th pact

Michael Landes inks 20th pact
Michael Landes has inked a talent holding deal with 20th Century Fox TV.

Under the one-year pact, which includes a development component, Landes will topline a series project developed for him or will be cast in an existing 20th TV pilot.

The deal extends Landes' relationship with the studio. Following his role on "The Wedding Bells" -- David E. Kelley's dramedy for Fox and 20th TV -- he was signed in fall 2007 to a talent deal by Fox and 20th TV. It led to a starring role on Paul Attanasio's legal dramedy pilot "Courtroom K."

It was the opportunity to work with writers of Kelley and Attanasio's caliber that lured Landes to ink a new deal with 20th TV. He said he is pumped up about development and is looking to do an hourlong show.

"I think life is both comedy and drama," he said, "and if you
