With Gripper back from suspension, it's business at normal. Mrs. McClusky has a meeting with Mr. McGuffy, about his involvement in the school magazine. To his horror, she suspends him. Gripper and his gang corner Randir in the toilets, but Mr. Baxter barges in, and gives Gripper a dunking in the basin. Mrs. McClusky decides to go ahead with a referendum on the subject of flexitime - but the idea would still have to go through the governors. Gripper finds Pogo's secret - a love letter addressed to him, and demands a pound not to make it public. Claire comes face to face with Gripper, who's not happy about her magazine article. Stewpot's too late to stop Claire getting a faceful of mop, but he's on the warpath and joins forces with Glenroy's gang. Pogo leads them all to Gripper, but Mr. Baxter interrupts the proceedings - he takes the bully away for expulsion from Grange Hill. Written by Geffers
