The scene with the three monsters looking down on the marching clones while plotting to save Susan is similar to the scene where the Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and Tin Man are looking down on the wicked witch's soldiers. When the General is showing the footage about Missing Link, we briefly see a block of ice, which had held him, with a hole melted in it and next to a broken window leading to a frozen landscape. This is almost identical to the scene in 'The Thing From Another World' referring to how The Thing escaped being frozen.
