The TV reporter Dade (Kevin Knotts) lives with the successful anchor of television Samantha Davis (Clare Carey). Dade is affected after a fatal incident during his coverage of a bank robbery followed by a hostage situation and changes his perspective of life. When he meets the professional dominatrix Jennifer a.k.a. Dominique (Simmone Mackinnon) by chance, he becomes obsessed by the mysterious woman, affecting his relationship with Sam. Dominique also falls for him but she realizes that their relationship conflicts with their different lifestyles. After the death of a man that stalks Dominique, she moves to another place and Dade seeks her out."Submission" is a weird romance about repressed fantasies and reality. The idea is great but the movie does not work well, limited not only by the extremely low budget but mainly because of the poor screenplay that does not develop well the characters and the situations. Further the eroticism is very limited despite of the theme and the tiresome edition with excessive use of fadeout is annoying. With minor improvements this movie could be better and better.
