Trivia
This is partly based in the real life story of US Army Special Forces Sergeant Kiki Sanchez. Sanchez was a member of the Green Berets who underwent the selection process for Delta Force alongside 'The Unit' writer/co-producer Eric Haney. He failed to qualify for the organisation and subsequently left the US Army and traveled to Nicuragua where he became a Captain in the Communist regimes' armed forces. He eventually led a group of Marxist rebels on a raid over the Nicuraguan border into neighbouring Honduras. Sanchez and every one of the rebels accompanying him were eventually all hunted down and killed by Honduran Special Forces led by members of Delta Force including Eric Haney. Controversey still rages today as to whether Sanchez genuinely defected to the Communists or whether he was actually still working undercover for the CIA and his death was the result of some form of dreadful mistake.

Finally see the Sergeant Major at home, even though it's only for the first couple of minutes. His recommendation that the FRG have a door prize for their "Old Home Week" drive sets in motion a series of events that drive them to find a WWII widow and a veteran. A really interesting ending.
One of the FRG wives decides to take the war debate to the opposition and garners the interest of the head of the local anti-war group.
On the war front, the Unit is involved in an operation that deals with diamonds and terrorists. A Rabbit dies. Some "missplaced" materials help to fund part of one of the Unit's secrets and the newbie is let in on those secrets.
