On DVD: Bane And The Devil’s Rock In The UK

British horror fans rejoice! Two new fright flicks by British filmmakers have been released on DVD on your shores: James EavesBane and Paul Campion‘s The Devil’s Rock.

While Bane has been available in the U.S. for awhile now, it’s finally getting its due in the country that spawned this dark and disturbing vision of a scientific experiment gone awry.

Four women wake up in a military medical facility, held against their own will, but for what nefarious purpose they cannot guess. During the day, they are pushed through a rigorous regimen of psychological torture, while at night a mysterious being breaks into their cell to carve into their bodies the time he’s going to come back to kill them. And kill them he does, in terrifically brutal fashion.

Bleedfest Hosts Blood Drive and Women In Horror Month Screening Event

I love women and I love horror and when we put them two together it's like a whole big ol' double shot of Love which brings me to Bleedfest and Women in Horror Month coming up!

January 26, 2011-- Los Angeles, California-Monthly female genre film festival BleedFest is throwing an epic event February 6th, 2011 in honor of Women in Horror Month. There will be a Blood Mobile parked outside the Cap Theatre from 10:30am-4:30pm. Donation appointments can be made by clicking on this link: http://bleedfest.givesblood.org All donors are eligible for half off tickets to the BleedFest Film Festival until the event is sold out, in addition to a pint for a pint Baskin Robbins coupon.
