Storyline

Based on the best-seller novel by Gustavo Bolívar Moreno, "Sin Tetas no hay Paraíso" tells the story of how drug dealers affected psychologically and morally a whole generation of young people. In Pereira, Colombia, Catalina associates the prosperity of her teenage girlfriends with their breast size. So she talks with her best friend, Yésica, a teenage pimp, for her to introduce her to the drug lords of the zone. Catalina had a very small breast size, so she had to have an operation to enlarge her breast, and that way, become a drug-lord's wife. She thought her breast would take her to paradise, but it became in her own and personal hell. Written by ivanreina

Surprisingly Addictive
17 August 2007 | by (Netherlands) – See all my reviews

I could not stop watching! I have never liked soaps, especially Latin American "telenovelas" because of their empty plots and bad acting, but this one was just different. A well adapted story line, based on a true story, and good production efforts put this soap on a category by itself.

I have seen the full series twice now and loved it. The theme song is great, too - it summarizes the core of the drive of these characters.

If we ever needed an eye-opener of everyday life in small towns all around Latin America, this is it. Every country has their own "pre-pagos", "sicarios", "duros", etc. This is the reality of our people and we should not forget it, no matter were we are.
