A guy has been serving overseas in the military. When he returns home to his wife, however, he can't find her! So, he goes and tells the police. Captain Braddock meets with the man because this has all the earmarks of a scam. It seems that the guy barely knew his wife and married her just before heading overseas...and it is possible the woman is a bigamist who has married lots of men and has been collecting their checks each month! Braddock sees that the guy wants to take this into his own hands when he vows to catch her and 'make her pay' and he strongly urges the guy to back off and let the police investigate. However, the dope doesn't listen and goes back to the apartment where she should have been and does some investigating....and what happens next you'll just have to see for yourself.
While I am not always a fan of "Racket Squad" because Reed Hadley has LESS personality that balsa wood, this is a very good episode. It's well written and you really have a lot of empathy for the poor guy. See this one. And, if you are looking for it, it's available for free download from archive.org--a site often linked to the IMDb pages.
