Very nice short movie (or SP or whatever it is). I have never read or seen Conan before, so I had no idea what to expect. All I wanted was a good crime story with a script almost as good as Galileo or TRICK... and that's what I got! TRICK and Galileo are still my favorite detective/crime/mystery series, but this is pretty good too.
The second live action film (not here on IMDb), doesn't live up to what I expected, tho. It's not as fast phased as the first one and the story is not so extremely good or exiting either.. but that's just my opinion. I'll give number 2 6/10
Shun Oguri doesn't disappoint in any of the movies. I watched this mostly because of him. Seen him in lots of movies and series earlier like Hana Kimi, Hana Yori Dango, GTO, Sukiyaki Western Django, Crows ZERO and Azumi - in each and everyone of those he does an amazing job, and this is no exception.
The rest of the cast does a great job too. Kurokawa Tomoka (Ran) is so cute and Jinnai Takanori (her dad, Mori Kogoro) is so~~ hilarious!
8/10 to the first live action movie
