The Assignment Trailer: Michelle Rodriguez Used to Be One Killer Dude
Saban Films and Lionsgate have released the first trailer for The Assignment, which puts a unique twist on the assassin thriller genre. Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez lead a diverse and impressive cast in this thriller, which also includes Tony Shalhoub, Anthony Lapaglia and Caitlin Gerard. If that wasn't enough, we also have the first poster for The Assignment, which you can check out below the trailer.

Legendary director Walter Hill (The Warriors) gives the revenge film a modern neo-noir twist with this electrifying thriller. Hitman Frank Kitchen (Michelle Rodriguez) is given a lethal assignment, but after being double-crossed, he discovers he's not the man he thought he was, he's been surgically altered and now has the body of a woman. Castle season 8 episode 22 review: Crossfire

Castle has ended for good with a season 8 finale that doesn't do justice to the strength of this show's actors, or its fans' love...

This review contains spoilers.

8.22 Crossfire

I’ve tried. I’ve tried really hard. I’ve watched and rewatched, and there’s only one conclusion: Crossfire is downright insulting to the Castle audience.

As I suggested last week, I’m not exactly surprised by this. The series finale doesn’t just conclude the show, but brings to end one of the most excruciating seasons ever of a show that I otherwise liked. It’s not that I haven’t always had my problems with Castle. I have. But I’ve been a fan of Nathan’s since his short stint on Buffy, where he played, the Gentlemen from Hush aside, the only truly frightening villain the show ever had. And so I’ve followed him,

Oscar-Shortlisted ‘Mustang’ Tops France’s Lumiere Awards

Oscar-Shortlisted ‘Mustang’ Tops France’s Lumiere Awards
Paris – Honing its Academy Award and Cesar credentials, France’s Oscar short-listed “Mustang” topped the 21st Lumiere Awards, whose biggest highlight was a tribute to Isabelle Huppert.

Unspooling at a gala ceremony Monday night in Paris, and France’s equivalent of the Golden Globes and often a bellwether of sorts for France’s Cesar awards, which take place Feb. 26, the Lumiere Awards crowned “Mustang,” from Turkish-born but Paris-based Deniz Gamze Erguven, with the best picture plaudit.

Mustang” beat out three other best picture nominees for the French Academy Cesars that take place Feb. 27: Cannes Palme d’Or winner “Dheepan,” from Jacques Audiard; Olivier Delbosc’s “Marguerite”; and Arnaud Desplechin’s “My Golden Years,” a Directors’ Fortnight standout.

The tale of five Turkish sisters battling to not be married off by their traditionalist father, “Mustang” also scored the Lumieres’ Heike Hurst award for best first film and cinematography, for David Chizallet,

Police Under Pressure: life on the streets of east Sheffield

Andrew Collins: Antisocial behaviour, budget cuts and Slovakian Roma families are the order of the day in Page Hall, South Yorkshire

Its a mighty long way from Happy Valley to Page Hall. The first, in West Yorkshire, is a fictionalised surrogate of artsy Hebden Bridge in Sally Wainwrights hit BBC1 crime drama, a spectacularly regenerated former mill town famed, rightly or wrongly, for being the lesbian capital of Britain. The second, 40 miles away in South Yorkshire, is a hitherto little-known, overpopulated, underemployed blot of east Sheffield where an influx of marginalised Roma families from Slovakia has simmered the ethnic soup to boiling point. Page Hall is due its 15 minutes in the TV spotlight in documentary series Police Under Pressure (Monday, 9pm, BBC2). It is unlikely to cause a tourist stampede to the area.

Under new management but indelibly marked with the stain of Hillsborough, South Yorkshire Police might have
