I was a big fan of the spyro the dragon series. I really enjoyed all the Spyro games from Isonomic Games. I wasn't too pleased when Isonomic sold the rights to universal so they could work on the smash hit Ratchet and Clank series.
Face it, all the post-Isonomic Spyro games have sucked, Enter the Dragonfly was a total waste and so was A Hero's Tail. DFI also hated the GBA and DS installments. A New Beginning really does restore the game to it's former glory. Let me explain.
First of all, the story is great. It's much darker and more suspenseful than the previous cartoony stories. Sparx is much better now. He is more than a source of defense, he's also funny. The new villain Cynder is way cooler than all the other Spyro villains.
Spyro hasn't just rectonned his career but his popularity.
