On Halloween night a Marine staff sergeant, Erik, sustains a nonfatal gunshot wound in the living room of his house; a dead body in a skeleton costume reposes in the same room; Gibbs and company investigate, and they learn that someone has kidnapped Erik's seven-year-old daughter. Abby greatly impresses Tony and McGee with her Halloween costume. A kidnapper demands a ransom of $100K. Gibbs, Tony, and McGee crash a party and meet a Klingon, and McGee interprets the Klingon language. The mother of the kidnapped girl disappears, and Gibbs uses a new interrogation technique.
