Nora suggests that everyone spend a last weekend at the ranch house, which has to be sold to help the business. None of the children is interested in being cooped up with 'the family' for a weekend, though. Nora asks David to help her retrieve a special wood panel from the house -- it contains the growing-up marks she recorded for the last 20 years. Soon after they arrive, the rest of the family all drop in, having expected to have the place to themselves.
