Perhaps because of Hillary Clinton’s impending candidacy for president and the resulting analysis that features questions about how Clinton’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky will effect her chances, Cyrus decided the former president’s past indiscretions were not only relevant – but a perfect bit for while she sings “Party in the U.S.A.”
As a cat dances on the jumbo screen in the background, Miley struts around the stage in a patriotic leotard and cowboy hat. On her way back across the stage, she drops to her knees before the Clinton impersonator, twerks on the Liberty Bell, grinds up on Mount Rushmore and gives Lady Liberty a kiss on the cheek. »
Super Bowl Halftime Show
Although halftime begins as soon as the stage is set up following the conclusion of the first half of play and can’t be pinpointed, past NFL championship games indicate that Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will kick off their performances around 8 p.m. Sunday night. The musicians will have roughly 14 minutes to perform in New Jersey’s East Rutherford stadium during the 30-minute halftime.
Mars, to some, was a surprising choice for a Super Bowl halftime performer. Unlike previous acts, the Hawaiian-born Mars isn’t an established star in the music industry – though his star is undeniably rising. The likes of Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Janet Jackson, Paul McCartney all had a deep well of classics to pull from, while Mars only has two albums »
“With the renaissance happening in scripted television, we have to elevate our game in reality,” said TruTV topper Chris Linn.
His fellow panelists — and network brass — agreed at RealScreen’s “Meet the Boss” session, a panel tailor-made for the recent game of musical chairs played by reality execs in the cable space. Joining Linn on the panel was TLC head Nancy Daniels and Hgtv/Diy topper Allison Page — all three have been appointed to their new posts within the last year.
“I had been at TLC from 2008-2011, and then went over to Discovery Channel for a couple of years,” Daniels explained. “In my heart, I missed the female programming. When this opportunity [to head back to TLC] came up, I was so excited to go back to a network I love, where I am the demo…I think in the few years I was gone the team [at TLC] had rightfully so tried to branch out. »

Interesting news from St. Petersburg, Fl: The parents of Martin Burgoyne, an artist and Studio 54 bartender who was best friends with Madonna during her early career, are putting a trove of photos, art, and drawings featuring Lourdes’ mom on the auction block. Burgoyne died of AIDS in 1986 (He partly inspired Madonna’s song “In This Life” from Erotica), but he hung around with Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and other legendary figures of the time.
There’s lots of interesting stuff in his collection. “Some are candid Polaroids of her making goofy faces with Burgoyne. Others are black and whites, intended for an album cover, of Madonna looking poised and fragile … and a full-color sketch for her ‘Burning Up’ Ep album cover. The image is totally ‘80s, all bright block colors. Madonna sports short hair and thick eyebrows.”
Let’s open this discussion up. What would you want from an early ’80s Madonna auction? »

Film classification board responding to pressure from parents worried about sexual imagery available to children online
If it's not Miley Cyrus licking a sledgehammer, it's Robin Thicke cavorting with naked women or Lily Allen having liposuction and getting dancers to twerk for her. It has sometimes felt as if barely a week goes by without a new pop video cause celebre generating massive online traffic and causing outrage in equal measure. Now the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has said it wants an age-rating system for online videos introduced as soon as possible.
Following the issuing of new classification guidance from the BBFC on Monday, the organisation's assistant director, David Austin, said it was responding to pressure from parents who were concerned about the sexual imagery freely available to children who had access to the web, having already begun reviewing videos by artists such as Metallica, Robbie Williams and »

Eat my shorts ... the Simpsons have stripped off for a racy calendar. Alexsandro Palombo's satirical drawings are good for a laugh, but do they miss the point of the show?
Have you ever had erotic fantasies about Marge Simpson? If so, you may be a cartoon character. Bartender Moe used to be obsessed with Homer's wife. She has also drawn the unwelcome attentions of Mr Burns. And let's not forget her romance with a French bowling instructor.
Anyway, Simpsons fans, prepare to be thrilled, shocked or profoundly embarrassed. Because for all you Moes out there, here's a flamin' Marge. Italian comic artist Alexsandro Palombo, who is well known in the fashion world, apparently, for his satirical depictions of haute couture, has created a 2014 calendar full of extravagant images of Marge – and Homer – posing in sadomasochist gear in the high-fashion style of the photographer Helmut Newton. So you always wanted to »
