Thanks to Showtime On Demand I'm getting to catch some of these shorts and this one here was highly entertaining. A Mexican man sells his special tacos at a stand in Mexico but his bigger dreams has him jump the border into the U.S.. Once here, he has hopes of becoming rich with his special ingredient but he ends up working for below wag at a Taco Bell like joint. This thing perfectly blends the comedy and the drama and with current political issues going on, the film makes a few nice statements. The comedy is great as it takes a lot of pot shots at "American" restaurants like Taco Bell. The performances were all very good and director Vince Navarro holds everything together nicely.
