I have just seen the DVD, as I totally missed it when it was on the telly, and it's quite a normal run of the mill type comedy drama, with the added twist of the lead character's favourite soap star turning up because he is in a coma in Australia ?! This seemed as if it was going to get interesting but it was never gone into, we just had to accept it. A bit like the Life On Mars plot except it wasn't in a different time zone. Strange...... Quite enjoyable nonetheless, with the son doing all manner of things to the neighbourhood ladies, and the neighbour who thinks he's gay, and the headmaster, and the brother who wants to kill the son etc.
