Did You Know?
The "sets" in Reptile Day are in fact drawings by world-renowned comic book artist D'Israeli (aka Matt Brooker). One set of actors did the voices and another group mimed to the slowed-down playback to create what might be described as a living cartoon effect. Director Tom Hickmore had wanted to use the marvellous voice of David Rintoul (voice of Colin) since he heard him do a reading of Goldfinger on BBC Radio in the early 1980's. This performance made David Rintoul the only person apart from Honor Blackman to play Pussy Galore. When we the lead actress was reluctant to twirl her tittie tassels on camera the producers had to mount a major search to find a matching set of boobies that could do the job. they tracked down a burlesque artiste Redsarah who had mammaries of similar proportions, but as she was white they had to spray her skin to match that of the actress. Composer Rory Cameron has had one of his songs recorded by Johnny Cash. He is also a member of the Brighton Beach Boys with Ralph Brown - the actor famous since his appearance in 'Withnail and I'.
