Bear Grylls Is “Pursuing The Ultimate Rush” With New YouTube Channel

24 November 2014 10:39 AM, PST | | See recent Tubefilter News news »

Bear Grylls first gained fame as the guy on TV who drank his own urine, but he's now coming to the Internet as more than just an image macro. Grylls has launched a new YouTube channel called Bear Grylls Adventure, which will be "the home of action, adrenaline, and survival." The new channel is already live, but it is only populated by a channel trailer. In that video, Grylls lays out his plan, which involves three videos per week from "trailblazers that are pushing the boundaries of the ultimate in adventure." That statement leaves us wondering how much Grylls himself will appear on the channel, though regardless of his role, the trailer shows off some awe-inspiring footage. Bear Grylls Adventure will join YouTube's growing library of extreme sports videos, which have found a sizable audience on the world's largest video-sharing site. Grylls' channel seems to emulate the high-flying attitudes of Red Bull and GoPro, »

Infographic Offers Tips and Tools For Surviving the Zombie Outbreak

16 June 2014 7:30 AM, PDT | | See recent Dread Central news »

Who knows more about survival gear than Rei, the outfitter for the outdoors? Probably no one outside of that "Man vs. Wild" guy on TV, and who really wants to live if you have to drink your own pee? Rei offers some more palatable alternatives to surviving when the zombie outbreak occurs.

Take a look at the snappy graphic from Rei below and learn all you need to know to help you stay alive when the living dead are milling about.

The first section gives tips on what to wear and what to carry with you. The rest of your education comes in the form of explaining survival skills like how to exterminate a zombie with a frying pan, applying moleskin to a blister, and disorienting the undead with a flashlight. These all sound like really important abilities to have when the ultimate crapstorm finally hits.

'Deadliest Catch' preview: Captains tease blood, big storms, and 'the longest continuous bleep in the history of the show'

22 April 2014 1:48 PM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent - Inside TV news »

On April 22, Discovery’s Emmy-winning reality series Deadliest Catch returns for its tenth season (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Et). Viewers will have to wait until Opilio season to see the return of the Cornelia Marie, and the arrival of Mandy Hansen, Capt. Sig’s 18-year-old daughter, on the deck of the Northwestern. But there’s plenty of drama during red crab season, beginning in the two-hour premiere: From the government shutdown delaying the fleet’s start, which forces them to take bigger risks to make their delivery dates, to a greenhorn (and a captain!) nearly waving the white flag. Review: Riddick (Blu-ray)

15 January 2014 9:42 AM, PST | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

It’s been almost ten years since we last saw Vin Diesel’s antihero-turned-Necromonger King, Richard B. Riddick, grace the big screen. Thankfully, that wait is finally over with Riddick, a pared-down, back-to-basics approach that feels more like Pitch Black  than Chronicles of Riddick, wearing its R-rating proudly on its sleeve and delivering the goods for fans who have been waiting and campaigning for Riddick’s return.

Riddick picks up pretty much where Chronicles left off with Diesel as the stalwart Necromonger King looking for answers and a return to his roots once he learns that Commander Lord Vaako (Karl Urban) knows the whereabouts of his home planet Furya. Happy to hand over his kingdom to Vaako, Riddick sets out for what he thinks is a journey home, but he’s left marooned in a desolate alien world where his only chance for survival is triggering an emergency beacon.
