Bookie, Harry is done over, attacked and robbed in his car, an old mate of Don Beech's, he's on the case, much to the irritation of boss, Chris Deakin.
A good episode, once again it's making great use out of Don Beech, and his somewhat dubious character, he is definitely the one at CID that elevates an episode.
This one perhaps isn't the most dynamic, and it's perhaps a bit predictable, but it's a very nice story, it's well acted, and delivers some much needed conflict.
The Grandson really is an annoying character, but that guy truly does have a great taste in cars, not many prettier cars have graced the roads, that Alfa Romeo convertible is much nicer than almost everything on the road in 2021.
Peter Jeffrey is wonderful here as Harry, there really is a cracking cast here, Barbara Young and Hilary Mason are great also.
8/10.
