I wasn't at all enamored with THE NIGHT WE MET, which tells the protracted tale of a guy who set fire to his restaurant for the insurance, but perished in the fire. He keeps appearing to Melinda, and she eventually tracks down his widow only to find the widow extremely reluctant to face her husband's ghost. The episode was heavily padded and I stopped caring after awhile. An earlier fire, in New York City, introduced Melinda and Jim, and five years later Melinda plans to celebrate the anniversary of their first meeting. Unfortunately, Jim has other plans for the evening, like playing cards with his buddies. The ending is guaranteed to choke the most jaded of you up.
