The ending situation of this picture (in which the paralytic husband becomes able to struggle with a burglar in order to save his child) perhaps saves it as an offering to the public. The developing situation, the paralytic's jealousy of the young doctor, his attempt to commit suicide, not only fail to convince, but leave a bad taste in the mouth. The picture's story is not authoritative and, except as a money maker, not at all worth while. - The Moving Picture World, January 31, 1914
