The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Leigh Anne and her husband Sean kiss and move around sensually in bed.

Crass jokes and references are made throughout. Leigh Anne tells someone not to get their panties in a wad, and warns Michael if he gets a girl pregnant out of wedlock at college, she will cut off his penis.

Violence & Gore

Michael fights with his old friends punching them and throwing them around. He tips sofas and chairs over and throws two of the thugs into a rail, which breaks. A baby on the floor is crying.

A teenager and young boy get into a car accident. The boy has some blood on him, and the teenager's hand is bleeding, but everything turns out okay.

Normal football violence, tackling and pushing, nothing very intense

Profanity

Ass, Bitch, and Damn are used infrequently.

1 racial slur (n****r)

"Tits" is said 2 times, and "Penis" is said 1 time. (not graphic use)

The scene when Michael visits his old friends there is drinking and references to drugs.

Michael's mom was an addict to drugs. There is reference to a "crack pipe"

Michael shows anger in one scene when visiting his old neighborhood friends. He gets into a fist fight with a guy who provokes him.

There is a car crash involving a teenager and a young boy, which is frightening. We see a truck smash into the car, breaking the glass on the front of the car. There is some blood on one of the children in the accident, and he is being tended to by a paramedic, but it is quickly made clear that he is not seriously hurt. He just has a bruised lip. The teenager has a bleeding arm, but his injuries are very minor, also.

A woman is threatened by a group of gangsters, but she gets in their faces and tells them off. It is mostly humorous because of the woman's no-nonsense attitude with them.

There is a scene where an NCAA investigator implies that the family forced Michael to play for a specific team and made it out like they did it for their gain.

A young child is taken from his home by local social service authorities and screams for his mother.
