Not my style of film but it is well made and an interesting idea

This is one of many newer independent shorts that have been posted on IMDb for viewing in the States. Hopefully, the problem with international rights can be worked out and it will be shown abroad.

This film reminds me of the novels of Karen Rose, as both her books and this short have a lot to do with serial killers and will keep you on edge. In the film, a cop is apparently a sadistic killer and the film shows him during the course of a murder--though it's told in an unusual narrative that jumps around in time. What I particularly appreciated the wonderful but very creepy twist at the end--it sent shivers down my spine. However, I really am not the type person that loves these type plots. If you do, then see this film ASAP--it's tense, well made and high on the "creepy factor"!

Good.

This is an independent short but it has a decent look and obviously some money behind the production. It was available for IMDb users to view on IMDb for free but I don't know if it still is any more. It is an okay thriller/drama type movie with like I said a good look to it and the acting is okay. The serial killer who is a cop is a good angle and the short movie kept me interested the whole time even though it wasn't good enough to give me chills or anything, it wasn't boring and was worth seeing. The jumping around back and forward through time in the movie was kind of annoying because it was unnecessary and that kind of thing has been done too much before. The twist at the end wasn't predictable so I liked that a lot.

Warning: Spoilers
This is "Snap" a 7-minute short film from 2005, so this one is already over 10 years old. The writer and director is Pepi Singh Khara and the lead actor is Chad Ridgely. I must say reading the plot summary on IMDb and seeing the photo made me a bit curious about this film, but really if you have read the plot and seen the photo, then you have basically seen the films. This is a movie, in which the cop is the killer, a complete lunatic. There is no realism in here, no suspense either really. It's showy and shocking for the sake of it, but it never feels authentic. No surprise that most people who worked on this one have not managed big careers and this is probably still their most known work. You can see it here on IMDb, but why would you? There is no good quality in it.
