Is Harriet A 'Meddling Mother-In-Law?'

A meddling mother-in-law?

That's the fear Harriet has when she gets home after she, Ozzie and Rick helped set up David and June's new apartment while the two were on their honeymoon. Sure enough, when the couple gets home, stopping by the Nelson house first, June mentions how excited she is to be able to put her first house together the way she wants. Harriet has a sick look on her face!

Not really much happens after that, but the amazing thing about "Ozzie & Harriet" is that nothing much needs to happen....and the episodes are still consistently entertaining. It really was an amazing achievement on the part of the writers and actors.

By the way, the introduction to this show finally changed. After introducing the four Nelsons, the announcer proudly states, "and now June Blair Nelson, the newest member of the family!" That is literally the case as the Nelsons always played themselves and now Dave's bride does the same. June and Dave wound up having two kids and were married from 1961 to 1974 when, sadly, they were divorced.
