Very zombie-like and borrowing from design from movies like the Matrix, this stop-animation piece was an 8-minute bittersweet tale of a dead woman who was brought back to life inside the "Stasis" and ultimately absorbed into the machine that brought her to life. Its an interesting look everything has to it, although I thought they could've used a more up-to-date doll manufacturing-process, like something from Nightmare Before Christmas, where the joints all move giving everything a more lifelike look.
I thought it was worth watching, but the added live-action-short was weird and vague ("Reborn"). It was about a tunnel creature and pod man (what the actors were credited at the end as being), and all I can tell is that the tunnel creature collects these newborn (or reborn) pod men as they are manufactured. It did have interesting dark ambient music, though.
Very sci-fi meets dystopian-philosophy, this whole DVD is interesting, but if you don't have the cash for it, don't bother.
