I really enjoyed this documentary because it gave insight on the Taliban although it was made around 6 years ago. It also talked about how many Pakistanis were supporting the Taliban even after 9/11. There were scenes about the Taliban and their practices. That reminded me of how each individual religion had their own practices but the Taliban's practices are often brutal and violent and do not resemble any practices of other religions. In the documentary, it also talks about the efforts of the US dealing with this. Although it seems like they've been trying, it still seems like they haven't done a lot to solve this problem. From this documentary, parts of it makes it sound like that the Taliban is kind of in a structure of a religion. They believe in a purpose, they also have their own beliefs and practices that differ from many people. I also saw similarities between Christianity and the Taliban because in one point in the documentary one of the Taliban commented how they killed the thieves and by doing so they sent them to Heaven to receive justice from God. Currently, in the year 2012, Osama Bin Laden has already been killed and now the Taliban is not growing as dominant as it was before. In Hong Kong, we barely hear about the Taliban anymore but it used to be an issue that was talked about a lot. Overall, I think that this was a really good documentary that can help someone really understand the Taliban better. It also provides good insight on how the Taliban is run and it can be easily compared to other religion's structures.
