Nicky Cottero: [on the phone] I already told ya, I don't want to deal with the hard head junkie brother. I want to deal with the smart brother.
Jimmy Donnelly: [on the phone] You don't talk to Tommy. You talk to me.
Nicky Cottero: [on the phone] Get Tommy to give me a call. You do now how to deliver a message, don't you?
Joey Ice Cream: [narrating] Pay attention this time. I hate repeating muself.
Joey Ice Cream: [narrating] See, Tommy Donnelly's dream was to pursue all that art crap. Now, it's a little gay for me, but for Tommy, it was the only thing other than Jenny Reilly that he ever really wanted. And he decided to go for it, once and for all.
Kevin Donnelly: Okay, we got a problem.
[he shows Jimmy Louie's cell phone]
Jimmy Donnelly: What's this?
Kevin Donnelly: Louie Downtown's cell phone.
Jimmy Donnelly: The one you were supposed to throw away!
Kevin Donnelly: Yeah, but that's not the problem.
Jimmy Donnelly: [cut to Jimmy smashing the phone on the counter] That's how you're supposed to get rid of a cell phone, Kevin!
Kevin Donnelly: I guess I should've done that.
Jimmy Donnelly: You guess?
Whitey: [about Nicky] He's playing games with us.
Jimmy Donnelly: Or he wants to make a deal with us.
Whitey: What kind of deal?
Jimmy Donnelly: I don't know. But If someone stole my business I'd wanna kill them, unless I thought they could make me money.
Joey Ice Cream: [narrating] Now, Dokey had a dream, too. He wanted to be his brother, Huey. Councilman Jack Trevor recently told Dokey how to achieve that dream. Unfortunately, things kept getting in the way.
Derek 'Dokey' Farrell: [to Jack] Jack, you talk to me like I'm some street punk again and I'm gonna cut your tongue out.
Mia: [Jimmy opens the cashier to Nicky's bar and starts taking out money] You do know that Nicky Cottero owns this bar, right? Well, the last guy that didn't pay his bar tab, got a meat hook up his ass. What do you thinks gonna happen to you if you rob the place?
Mia: What's the matter with this guy?
Whitey: I can't talk to him either.
Sean Donnelly: [to Tommy] Jimmy's on his way to kill Nicky. He's got a gun.
Joey Ice Cream: [narrating] The one guy who could've had his dream and made it out of the neighborhood. Whitey. He was so fast, he could've made the Olympics or something like that, but the idiot never went out to track.
Joey Ice Cream: Actually, now that I think about it, no wonder I'm depressed. That was the day I lost my dream too.
Joey Ice Cream: I always wanted to be a short-order cook.
Doctor: So, why didn't you ask her for a job?
Joey Ice Cream: [surprised] I never thought of that!
Joey Ice Cream: [narrating] Now, for some people, losing a dream can make you dangerous, 'cause they don't think long term. They just want what they want, when they want it.
