Excellent film for the whole family
16 August 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is a film with a message, and one of my criteria for a film with a message is that the story has to stand on it's own feet as a story even without the message. This film succeeds in that, while at the same time delivering a message that is easy to understand without hitting you over the head.

So much for theoretical considerations. On the more practical side, the movie was beautifully shot, and featured solid acting on the part of the major characters. The intended audience (my kids) enjoyed it and, in spite of "some brief scary images", they weren't scared. That's saying something since my daughter (8 yr old) is scared by most kids movies that come out these days!

So overall a good film for the whole family!

btw - the comment by "helbok-1" seems to have confused 7th-Day Adventists with Jehovah's Witnesses, who publish the Watchtower, and are known for knocking on doors.
