Sort of a hodgepodge episode....
This is an unusual episode of "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau" because it really does not have a comprehensive theme (ins spite of the title and first portion of the show which investigates dead bodies of water) but instead consists of LOTS of disparate clips of the Calypso's recent journeys. You'll see crew members painting under water (?), folks discovering a wonderful cache of wine and beer in a sunken ship, Cousteau visiting with his many fans, footage of walrus, salmon, octopi and otters as well as wonderful clips of Truk Lagoon--filled with ghostly ship wrecks and airplanes left from WWII. Many of these clips are explored much more in depth in various episodes of the series. In many ways, this is sort of a 'best of' show...interesting but meant to tantalizing instead of thoroughly investigating various topics. Worth seeing but a bit weak because of its lack of focus.
