- TriviaThere are special scene transitions for this episode, cards and poker chips spread across the screen to go from the Vegas scenes to the scenes at the Jeffersonian. The crazy socks that Booth has on in this episode was a homage to David Boreanaz. In real life, he loves to wear crazy and bold socks, even with suits. David Boreanaz was also an underground fighter in the Angel Season 1 episode "The Ring". In that show, he was made to fight against his will and was almost defeated in his main fight against a much larger foe.
- GoofsWhile waiting for Booth, Bones begins playing blackjack and almost gets into trouble for card counting. According to official rules and U.S. law, mental card counting is perfectly legal, as long as there is no external device used to assist the process. However, as casinos are private businesses, they are allowed to bar anyone from the building or from gaming for any reason as long as it is not discriminatory. Casinos will routinely remove successful card counters from the casino.
- Quotes
Dr. Temperance Brennan: Oh my god! I completely forgot you can't be here, Booth. You're a degenerate gambler.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Former gambler, okay? Not degenerate. I've been through the program, okay? And you know, he's on the move!
Dr. Temperance Brennan: What if you get a sudden urge to gamble while you're here? It's like sending an alcoholic to a distillery. Do you need to sit down?

I Just Don't Know
Booth and Brennan are flown all the way to Vegas to investigate a corpse found in the desert. While looking at one that had been there for years, they spot a vulture flying over a fresh one. This leads to the investigation of the death of a young woman who was an extreme fighter. The two of them go undercover. Bones ends up looking incredibly sexy as she takes on the role of Booth's "woman." Along the way, they rub the casino bosses the wrong way and end up with some threat. I thought this was OK but the conclusion seemed a bit too easy. It was a good vehicle for the two stars and I hope they do more undercover work.
