Christopher talks Lorelai into visiting Rory at Yale during Parents' Weekend, and Lorelai is surprised to find that Richard and Emily are also there. Trying to prove how cool he is, Christopher invites all of Rory's co-workers on the Yale Daily News to an expensive lunch where they all drink too much, and the meal ends abruptly when Rory insists they leave to cover a breaking story. Meanwhile, Luke meets April's swimming coach, who convinces him to take her adult swimming class. When the coach flirts with him, Luke asks her out on a date. Written by

The lecture hall in which Christopher and Lorelai listened to the professor's lecture was the same room Logan played a joke on Rory in "But Not as Cute as Pushkin" in season 5, episode 10 During lunch with Rory and the newspaper staff Lorelai asks if Rory has ever even hung out with any of them and she replied "Nope, not much"actually she should have said "Except for Paris, not much" considering they have been on/off friends since high school and roomates for most of college! Actually, since Lorelai knows very well that Paris and Rory have been friends for a number of years, of course she was only refering to the other newspaper staff when she asked Rory if she ever hung out with them. During Luke's rather odd date he is asked who would play him in "The Luke Danes Story", he replied that he'd never thought about that. Actually, he has! In the previous season while coaching soccer Lorelai suggested Tobey Maguire could play him in the movie and he immediately suggested Viggo Mortensen. While in the diner, Kirk tells Luke that "as of oh-seven-hundred this evening" he will be a single man. 0700 is military time for 7 AM in the morning, not evening. Possible explanation: This was simply another way the writers highlight what a ditz Kirk really is. The 24 hour clock is used in many industries, not just the military. The scenes in which Lorelai and Christopher are at Yale were actually filmed at the Univeristy of Southern California. The "Welcome to Yale Parent's Weekend" sign was put over the sign for Bovard Auditorium on the USC university campus. The song the a capella group is singing when Christopher and Lorelai walk by is Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" See more
When Kirk is talking to Luke at the diner he says at 0700 hours tonight he is going to break up with Lulu. 0700 hours is 7:00 a.m.; 7:00 p.m., as he's referring to, is 19 hundred hours (19:00). See more
