Storyline

Two new couples are borne at approximately the same time. Lily has just moved into her run down and tiny new apartment. After taking a look at it, Ted and Robin know she can't live there. Robin would invite her to stay at her place, but Lily is allergic to dogs. And none of the gang have ever even been to Barney's place, he who doesn't offer. But after a mishap at Lily's place, she is desperate to stay with Barney if only for a short time. After some pleading, Barney reluctantly agrees. Barney's reluctance turns to joy when he sees that Lily can be of some use in life. Barney and Lily fall into fake wedded bliss. Is a divorce imminent? Meanwhile, Marshall is lamenting not being able to do typically couple oriented activities anymore, those things such as going to concerts, to the theater or to brunch. But when he asks his old law school friend Brad, who is also going through a recent break-up himself, to use his second ticket (which was originally purchased for Lily when they were ... Quotes

Ted Mosby: Okay, we HAVE to get Lily out of that apartment. Her roommate is a raccoon.
Robin Scherbatsky: I'd offer her my place, but I have dogs and she's allergic.
Ted Mosby: Dogs? I live with her ex-boyfriend. I think she's more allergic to that.
Robin Scherbatsky: What about your place, Barney? I know it's shrouded in mystery, but it's gotta have a couch.
Barney Stinson: The Fortress of Barnitude? No way.
Robin Scherbatsky: Oh come on. She's desperate.
Barney Stinson: Mmm, normally a prerequisite for the women I bring home, but pass.

Neil Patrick Harris And Alyson Hannigan Deliver
25 November 2014 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Another great episode of "How I Met Your Mother" that features Barney Stinson in it's main story. Neil Patrick Harris is a joy to watch Every time there is a great episode of this show, it's him that is the focal point.

Plot In A Paragraph: Lily (Alyson Hannigan) is introduced to Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) batchelor pad "The Fortress Of Barnitude" when she urgently needs a place to stay. It's only meant to be temporary "two nights" but when he realises he can use Lily as a fake wife to scare off one night stands he tells her she is never leaving. Meanwhile Marshall (Jason Segel) finds a new friend to go to concerts, musicals and brunch with.

Cobie Smulders and Josh Radnor don't really have anything to do here, but that's OK because the Jason Segel story is fun and he always delivers.

but again this episode belongs to Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan. Their scenes together are an absolute delight.
