The stable-boy who engineered Catherine The Great's notorious rendez-vous with a horse looks back and reflects on the incident that changed his life forever. He recalls how he was instructed to get the horse in to the harness and suspend it just above the ground then wait outside and ask no questions. But when the supporting beam broke the Empress was crushed and he lost his job. Written by Stephen Leslie
