This is one of the few romantic comedies that speak to the "everyman". Most romantic comedies are "chick flicks" while this one is definitely geared towards men. Every guy that sees this can relate to at least one moment and recall when it happened to them.The main character speaks to the inner dork in all of us that we try to keep hidden but continually finds ways to pop out at inopportune moments. It is those moments that you laugh about but years later. You like to see it happen to someone else so you know that it isn't just you. I related to the main character. I felt his pain. I found myself muttering, "been there", numerous times during the movie.There needs to be more movies like this. Guys don't just like watching things blow up. They like watching other guys strike out with women.
